    • Where to go for help
  • Getting Thoughts Out
    • Please think about these two questions and discuss in small groups.
      • What are some qualities of a "Good" Tech Leader/Principal?
      • What are some qualities of a "Bad" Tech Leader/Principal?
    • We will use bubbl.us to brainstorm
  • Personal Learning Network
  • RSS Feeds and Aggregators
    • Google Reader, Bloglines
      • Really Simple Syndication
      • Subscribe to almost anything
      • Subscribe to News, Blogs, Bookmark feeds
  • Social Bookmarking: These sites are used to share your notable links and information with a greater audience. Some of the new social bookmarking sites, like Furl and del.icio.us have an integrated RSS feed so that people can subscribe to someone's bookmarks. In essence, they will have access to everything that you feel is important. One other key feature of Furl, Diigo, and del.icio.us is the idea of Tags. Tags are keywords that are used to help narrow a search for information. Here's an example of Jeremy's Diigo account.

  • Information
  • Statewide Educational Technology Services (SETS projects)
    • CLRN: The California Learning Resource Network provides a place to find standards-aligned Resources, Assessment Tools, and Web Links.
    • EdTech Profile: This is an assessment for educators to help guide technology training and vision within a school and district.
    • TechSETS: This site is focused on providing technical professionals in California schools improved access to training, support, and other resources.
    • TICAL: Technology Information Center for Administrative Leadership features information for administrators on the use of technology in education to guide instruction, assessment, and communication.
  • Take the Day 1 Survey!
  • Homework Assignment
    • Create a section on your Wikispace page entitled Reflections.
    • Write a reflection on how you might be able to use some of these online resources at your school site or in the classroom.
    • Create an account in any of the social bookmarking sites and put the link in your homework.
    • Find someone you would like to follow on diigo or delicious, and add them to your RSS feed aggregator.
    • Create a Twitter account and tweet me "teachtech"
    • Add yourself to our group 3 list, and include any usernames for any of the technologies you have set up.
